Our Pitch Process

There is no cost and no contract for businesses to pitch or attend the training offered.

1. Apply to Pitch

After completing our pitch form, our team will assess your application and respond based on your suitability for the network.

2. Discovery Meeting

If you’re right for the network, we’ll arrange a call to give us the opportunity get to know each other and ask any questions.

3. Training (if applicable)

For applicants who we believe require some additional support prior to pitching, we will offer the opportunity for some free training to help them become investment ready. The training is not mandatory for those who are experienced founders and have raised before.

4. Practice Pitch

Applicants are invited to pitch at the online Practice Pitch Event which is compulsory to progress to the live pitch event. Our panel, composed of advisors and investors, will ask questions and provide feedback on the pitch.

The panel will then decide who will be offered the opportunity to pitch and these businesses are allocated a mentor to work with them up to the live pitch event. If you don’t get to pitch, we’ll do our best to help you make valuable connections from our wider network, including other angel networks and platforms.

5. Live Pitch

Our pitch events are held roughly every quarter. You’ll have 10 minutes to pitch with a 5 minute Q&A. Our pitch events include dinner and guest speakers, providing a space for post-pitch discussion and founder/investor networking.

6. Post-Pitch

Following the event, your pitch deck will be shared with attendees and any angels we think would be appropriate in the network who couldn’t attend. At this point it’s over to the individual investors to express interest with you directly.

We’ll always be on hand to support you, but we can’t provide any investment advice. We simply help make founder and investor introductions. It is the responsibility of founders and investors to undertake their due diligence and seek appropriate professional advice from external parties.

Pitch Training

Alongside facilitating networking and pitch events, we can provide support, education, and training to help you become investment ready and navigate a challenging process.

Training is offered to those who request it and those applying for pitching who we believe need the support to meet the standard expected by our network.

We provide an an online interactive training session delivered by Martin Spiller which focuses on developing a pitch deck and delivering the pitch. The training also covers a range of topics that business founders need to understand if they want to seek equity investment.
